Amy Stephens explores shifting patterns of meaning and potential for narrative in the grouping of found, man-made and natural objects. Synthetic and everyday materials form hybrid structures offering a playful elegance whilst questioning notions of performance, value and beauty. Outlines of geometric shapes display an affinity to drawing forcing the viewer to navigate the distinct perspectives defined by the artist. Throughout her practice there is a delicate relationship between form and choice of materials which reflects a distinct passion for travel and an interest in the re-contextualising of objects found in nature.
